The European Union implements innovations in the prevention, investigation and mitigation of the effects of petty crime

In the fight against crime, the European Union applies the project Cutting Crime Impact (CCI), which aims to enable law enforcement authorities and security policy makers to adopt a preventive, evidence-based and sustainable approach to solving petty crimes with a high impact. Tailored to the needs of end users, this project will design, develop and demonstrate four toolkits covering predictive policing, community policing, crime prevention through urbanism and planning, and measuring and mitigating citizen insecurity. The solution to this problem is part of the European security model, the principles of which derive from European values.
