On 10 October 2018, the European Commission issued a report on the progress towards the creation of an effective security union. These include, in particular, cyber security initiatives and interoperability of EU information systems for security, migration and border management, the acceptance of electronic evidence in the fight against crime, the extension of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office and the strengthening of EU border protection.
